Áine Minogue Solo Show
Note from Áine:
At a solo show I play the harp and weave in songs, sometimes in English, but more likely in Gaelic, Welsh or even Latin. I sprinkle in a few lines of poetry and generally try to create a space and a 'vibe' for people to really chill out.
When I make albums, they're often based on Celtic fairylore and folklore. These influences run through the songs and stories. I've found that people love to know the background to the music. The goal is to provide that, while still making it fun and creating a nice space.
I believe in the deep connection between the inner and outer landscape. Each show reflects my interest in the old Celtic Wheel of the Year. What's transpiring in nature, at any given moment will weave its way into the evening, along with the Celtic symbolism and tradition that each season represents.
You will see many of the shows in this 'green room' listed by time of year.
