Introduction

If you would like some Celtic/Irish music programming for your orchestra or chamber group, there are ten (10) orchestral arrangements of the music of Turlough O'Carolan to choose from.

Arranged by our musical director, Scott Petito, this 17th Century composer's music is a hybrid of Celtic and Classical (baroque) styles; an ideal choice for classically trained players.

Several samples are included in the audio section in the right margin. Please note that these arrangements do not reflect the orchestrated arrangements.

Scott and Áine will work with your orchestra or chamber group to perfect the pieces. There are also choral arrangements available in the event you would like to include choir.

Concert Background

Scott Petito has arranged ten pieces for orchestra (chamber groups) by 17th century Irish composer, Turlough O'Carolan. The great advantage of these particular Celtic selections is the inclusion of the orchestra as an integral part of the music, as opposed to just being a backdrop.
